Padlaya continues to express his fascination with the shamanic, transformative imagery that has characterized his work from the early days of his career. His grandfather, Lukta Qiatsuk, explored this theme in his work and now Padlaya uses his talents to create ever more dynamic and complex sculptures, often incorporating tools of the shaman's trade.
