David Boxley

We are delighted to present a group of new works by celebrated Tsimshian artist, David Boxley. He is a renowned artist, revered teacher, and an incredible performer who is committed to the preservation and celebration of Tsimshian culture.

Boxley's carvings are masterfully carved with utmost precision. His depth of knowledge of Tsimshian design is clearly evident through his adherence to traditional forms, techniques, and motifs that have been passed down through generations of Tsimshian artists.

Boxley's artwork has received numerous awards and recognition, including the National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. These honors acknowledge the importance and significance of his work and help to elevate the visibility and recognition of Tsimshian art and traditions.
