An elegant swan, an all-seeing owl and the guardian eagles are among the sculpture currently in the Gallery's collection.  Eric Silver's Creation is a depiction of the Haudenosaunee story of sister sun and brother moon which speaks of the need to maintain balance and the blessings of the great spirit, as represented in the strawberry plant.  In some works you will find a zigzag pattern that refers to the wampum, a complex visual record of significant treaties and events. The talented artists from the Six Nations in southeastern Ontario work exclusively in soapstone, referencing the animals and stories important to their culture.
