This drawing is in honour of the legendary one-horned mountain goat living in the peaks of our local mountain, Stekyoden (Roche de Boule). According to Gitxsan legend, a village of people who shape-shift into mountain goats live at the peak of Stekyoden watching over the village of humans below. This particular legend is complex but the tale offers a warning to humans to always respect nature and all animals in the wild - otherwise, to face dire consequences from nature.
