Floating above me, circling the tree line, you remind me to breath, stay calm and enjoy the rise of the day and the fall of the sunlight. Hawks fly in circles for the same reason that glider pilots do, to catch a “thermal” air flow. On a sunny day the earth is heated unevenly which makes the air rise at different levels. The rising air creates a lift that hawks (and other birds) can float upon, conserving their energy and gaining altitude. Seeing a hawk floating in circles in the air means that you are on the right path in life, that you need to stay the course, stay on this path to see your dreams and goals through to the end.
