Long time ago, there was a family of three moving from camp to camp looking for a place to settle down.

The head man went to a lake to get some water, and after chipping off some ice to open a hole, as he look down the hole, he saw char.

He quickly went running down to his camp to tell his wife and son, and sure enough, they both started jigging for some char. They caught quite a bit of char enough to feed his dogs and family, so the family decided to stay in the area for the whole winter.
