(1908 - 1992)

"It was not until September of 1980 that Osoochiak first requested drawing paper, stating that he'd 'like to try'. At the suggestion of Terry Ryan, Osoochiak tried his hand at illustrating his brother Simeonie's memories of establishing a Lapland reindeer farm in Amadjuak in 1922. This produced a series of remarkably skilled drawings. Osoochiak works are unique in style and approach. His subject matter includes figures with massive torsos, hunting scenes, and imaginary motifs."*

Osoochiak was the brother of famous artist Pudlo Pudlat.
