Hollie Bartlett is a renowned Haisla jeweler and designer. Born in 1963 in Terrace, British Columbia, she wears the Killer Whale as her family crest. Hollie moved to Vancouver in 1985 to pursue her art career, first as a photographer and then later as a graphic artist and jeweler. She began an apprenticeship with master carver Corrine Hunt in 1998, who taught her the art of Kwakuitl engraving. She has also apprenticed with renowned goldsmith Michael Reynolds, where she perfected her jewelry design and learned how to incorporate different materials in her work. Hollie’s designs often blend traditional themes with decidedly modern forms and designs, making her jewelry highly sought-after amongst collectors and enthusiasts.
