(1993 - Present)
Qavavau started carving at the age of 13 and progressed quickly. He started off using power tools but prefers to use hand tools to finish his carvings. He has learned by watching his grandfather, Aqjangajuk Shaa as well as other sculptors of Cape Dorset carve their works. He enjoys carving bears, birds, seals and inuksuks. His mother Kilabuk and his brothers Pudlalik and Qiatsuq are also artists.
