Davie Atchealak’s Dancing Bear captures a moment of raw power and playful motion, balancing gracefully on one foot atop a stone base that emerges from the bottom of the sculpture. With its forelimbs raised to one side in a lively, almost theatrical gesture, the bear exudes a sense of rhythm and bold personality. The entire surface of the sculpture is etched, ridges running meticulously down its limbs and chest, forming textured fur that converges in sharp, sculptural lines, emphasizing both movement and anatomy.
