Virginia Morgan, a talented artist and carver, has Kwakwaka’wakw and Gitksan ancestry. Raised with a strong connection to her culture, she draws inspiration from her grandparents' traditions and teachings. Virginia pursued her passion for art, attending the Kitanmaax School of Northwest Coast Art and becoming one of the few female carvers in her community. She values sustainability, using reclaimed wood for her creations. Virginia has showcased her work in various exhibitions and galleries, including Seattle and Hazelton. Alongside her artistic pursuits, she has dedicated 24 years to teaching and passing on her knowledge to younger generations. Virginia continues to explore new art mediums and remains inspired by community stories.
