This art work is central to the theme of this exhibition. It is a scene that Kuzy saw while growing up in the arctic and depicts the impact of industrialization and globalization on traditional Inuit ways of life. As Kuzy puts it, the diesel drum replaced the qulik as a heat source, the gas can to fill the skidoos has replaced the dogs that would have pulled sleds but the one constant is the harpoon that is still being used for hunting today.
